Ruby (de_ruby) is a community-created Bomb Defusal map featured in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The map was added in the April 25, 2019 update along with Workout. On May 14, 2019, Ruby was reworked. It was added to Competitive matchmaking on May 29, 2019. In the update of July 31, 2019, it was marked as a map for Scrimmage mode. On October 2, 2019, the map was removed from the game files.

Overview

The location of the map takes place in a historic city in Portugal, presumably Lisbon. Terrorists decided to blow up this city, and the counter-terrorists must prevent this explosion.

Trivia

• The 25 de Abril Bridge can be seen from counter-terrorist spawn.
• The terrorists were originally Separatists.
• On the side of the tram stop near counter-terrorist spawn, an advertisement for Engage can be seen, featuring a now-defunct website "mass-cars.com", which hosted a single picture of an earlier version of the map.^[1]
